Blessed Be the In Between
A collection of worship songs emerging from the experience of young adults in West Michigan.
In early 2025, inVocation Fellows partnered with The Porter’s Gate — a sacred ecumenical arts collective — and Fuller Seminary’s Max De Pree Center to do something we’d never done before: invite young adults to share the longings, questions, and praises of their in-between years, and ask gifted musicians to shape those into worship.
Nearly forty Fellows alumni gathered at the historic Pillar Church in Holland, Michigan for a day of listening, praying, and creating together. They talked about belonging and community, about following Jesus faithfully when the path isn’t clear, and about the names for God that anchor them — Good Shepherd, Friend, Bread of Life. The Porter’s Gate artists took those conversations and turned them into ten songs.
The truth is that all of us — regardless of age — inhabit in-between space. We’re all navigating the gap between the now and the not yet, between hope and reality, between what was and what’s to come. These songs emerged from young adult voices, but they were written for all of us. Stream or download the album soon.
